Однажды журналистка газеты «24 часа» Анна Громова спасает жизнь внуку загадочного часовщика. В благодарность он дает ей старинные часы, которые обладают удивительным свойством. Они могут вернуть своего хозяина в недалекое прошлое, дав ему таким образом возможность изменить ход событий. Правда, управлять перемещениями героиня не может. Но когда жизням людей угрожает опасность, часы переносят Анну назад, чтобы она успела предотвратить надвигающуюся беду.
