JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir meminta maaf karena belum mampu membawa Timnas Indonesia melangkah jauh ke Piala Dunia 2026.
Harapan Timnas Indonesia bermain di Piala Dunia 2026 sudah dipastikan pupus usai kalah melawan Irak di Stadion King Abdullah, Minggu (12/10/2025) dini hari WIB.
Erick menilai pencapaian Timnas Indonesia di ronde 4 merupakan yang terbaik sepanjang sejarah.
"Terima kasih kepada suporter, pemain, dan ofisial atas perjuangan untuk bisa sampai Round 4 Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026. Pertama kali dalam sejarah, Indonesia bisa sampai di titik sejauh ini," tulis Erick Thohir di Instagram, Minggu (12/10/2025).
"Kami memohon maaf mimpi masuk ke Piala Dunia belum bisa kami wujudkan," sambungnya.
