El canciller chino, Wang Yi, sostuvo el lunes una conversación telefónica con su homólogo alemán, Johann Wadephul, a petición de la parte alemana. Wang indicó que el principio rector de las relaciones bilaterales debe ser la cooperación de ganancia compartida. Apuntó que se debe priorizar la comunicación y el diálogo para disipar malentendidos y subrayó que la cuestión de Taiwan es un asunto interno de China, añadiendo que el principio de una sola China es el fundamento político más importante de las relaciones entre China y Alemania, por lo que espera el apoyo alemán en ese aspecto.
