Mi si è allora concesso svolgere alcune considerazioni sulla questione a volo d'angelo. Anzitutto non può passare inosservato il pietoso spettacolo offerto dai medi europei, i quali giubilano incontenibilmente per la vittoria dei democratici con la classica postura del buon servo che spera nella vittoria dell'imperatore buono, Adriano, anziché in quella dell'imperatore cattivo, Nerone, senza ovviamente mai mettere in discussione la propria integrale subalternità all'impero.
In secondo luogo, repubblicani e democratici in America, come del resto destra e sinistra in Europa, rappresentano solamente le due ali dell'aquila turbocapitalistica, voglio dire della sua alternanza che nega l'alternativa e della sua omogeneità bipolare.
