Momen itu terjadi saat DPR menerima audiensi mahasiswa di Gedung Nusantara pada Rabu (3/9/2025).
Ihdan menyoroti jatuhnya korban jiwa selama demo, termasuk pengemudi ojek online bernama Affan Kurniawan.
"Kematian Affan merupakan kegagalan sebetulnya dari DPR RI karena tidak menyerap aspirasi secara langsung, tidak mau menemui dan sejenisnya," ujar Ihdan.
Menurutnya, jika pimpinan DPR dari awal mau menemui mahasiswa, demo tidak akan sampai merenggut nyawa.
"Tidak mungkin bapak harus ada orang meninggal terlebih dahulu sehingga kita berkumpul kemudian berbicara mengenai bangsa.
Adapun audiensi tersebut dihadiri oleh tiga Wakil DPR RI yakni Sufmi Dasco Ahmad (Gerindra), Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal (PKB), dan Saan Mustofa (Nasdem).
