LUDWIGSHAFEN: Nach Ausschluss von AfD-Mann! Wahlbeteiligung eingebrochen, viele ungültige Stimmen!

In Ludwigshafen steht am 12. Oktober eine Stichwahl um das Oberbürgermeisteramt an. Nachdem der AfD-Kandidat Joachim Paul wegen Zweifeln an seiner Verfassungstreue nicht zugelassen wurde, treten nun CDU-Bewerber Klaus Blättner und SPD-Mann Jens-Peter Gotter gegeneinander an. Die Wahl fand in einem angespannten Umfeld statt, das von politischer Nervosität, ungewöhnlich vielen ungültigen Stimmen und einer historisch niedrigen Wahlbeteiligung von nur 29,3 Prozent geprägt war. Während die Amtsinhaberin Jutta Steinrug politisches Desinteresse vermutet, sehen andere Gründe im Ausschluss des AfD-Kandidaten oder in der fehlenden Bindung der Bürger an die Politik.
