Disponible jusqu'au 09/04/2027Chaque année, le 11 février, à Budapest, des nostalgiques du IIIe Reich défilent en uniformes nazis pour célébrer le "Jour de l’honneur". Ils commémorent la tentative avortée des troupes nazies et de leurs collaborateurs hongrois de briser le siège soviétique de Budapest en février 1945. Cette journée est souvent marquée par des échauffourées entre néonazis et antifascistes.
Les autorités hongroises considèrent le "Jour de l’honneur" comme une simple reconstitution historique. L'événement bénéficie d'une couverture médiatique favorable dans les médias contrôlés par le premier ministre, Viktor Orbán, ainsi que de subventions publiques. Mais le gouvernement hongrois ne s’arrête pas là. Pour traquer les militants antifascistes étrangers ayant participé à ces manifestations, il détourne un outil judiciaire de l’Union européenne : le Mandat d’arrêt européen (MAE), conçu à l’origine pour lutter contre le terrorisme et le grand banditisme. Depuis 2023, la justice hongroise a délivré 14 MAE. Un climat de peur s’est installé chez les militants de gauche hongrois, accentué par la publication, le 26 septembre 2025, d’un "décret antifa". Ce texte classe le mouvement antifasciste comme organisation terroriste, rendant ses membres passibles de 24 années de prison.
