Longevity. Biohacking. Optimisation. Performance. Millions of people already wear smartwatches and sensors that track sleep, heart rate variability and stress.But this revolution is not just technological: it signals that we are ready to take a more active role in our own health. Having the data, however, is not enough: we need to know how to interpret it. This is where artificial intelligence comes in, transforming this enormous amount of information into awareness, prevention and new possibilities. Emma Prevot is an AI researcher, statistician and science communication enthusiast.
Born and raised in Crema, Italy, she moved to London to study Physics at University College London, then to Cambridge for a Master’s in Machine Learning, and finally to Oxford, where she is now a DPhil student in Statistics.
Her research starts from an ambitious question: can we use AI to understand not only how a disease progresses, but how it will progress for a specific person? To explore this, she develops new generative and causal AI algorithms and digital twins, working particularly with
neuroimaging data.
Throughout her studies, she has received numerous awards for academic excellence and now travels around the world presenting her research at international scientific conferences. In 2025, she also won the SuperNova Award as Italy’s top young talent under 25 and the Premio Italia Giovane.
