Macet Puluhan Jam di Ketapang, ASDP Tambah Satu Kapal Angkut Kendaraan Muatan Berat | BERUT
KETAPANG, KOMPAS.TV - Kemacetan panjang kendaraan hingga kini masih terjadi di Pelabuhan Ketapang, Jawa Timur.Kemacetan disebabkan berkurangnya jumlah kapal penyeberangan yang beroperasi pasca insiden tenggelamnya KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya.
Antrean kendaraan yang sudah terjadi sejak di pintu masuk pelabuhan hingga meluber ke jalan nasional, didominasi oleh truk pengangkut logistik yang hendak menuju Bali.
Sopir truk yang terjebak macet selama puluhan jam mengaku rugi karena harus menanggung biaya tambahan seperti uang makan dan BBM.
Para sopir truk berharap, ASDP segera menambah armada kapal agar situasi lalu lintas di pelabuhan kembali normal.
Untuk mengurai kemacetan, PT ASDP Cabang Ketapang mengoperasikan 1 unit kapal bantuan untuk mengangkut kendaraan bermuatan berat.
Dengan adanya kapal bantuan, jumlah kapal yang beroperasi kini menjadi 7, dari sebelumnya hanya 6 kapal. Sementara, biasanya pada hari normal, PT ASDP mengoperasikan 9 unit kapal.
Namun, imbas tenggelamnya KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, pengecekan ketat dilakukan terhadap kapal-kapal pengangkut, seperti kelayakan mesin dan maksimal kapasitas angkutan.
