WWII Navy veteran describes the moment when kamikaze plane hit USS Missouri
Eighty years after the Japanese surrendered, formally ending World War II, CNN’s Stephanie Elam sat down with U.S. Navy veteran John DeLeo, who served on the USS Missouri during the war. DeLeo says he first boarded the Missouri in May of 1944 when he was 19 years old. He recalls what life was like on the “Mighty Mo,” witnessing the aftermath of a Kamakazi attack and watching as members of the Japanese Imperial Government boarded the Missouri on September 2, 1945, to take part in the surrender ceremony. #CNN #News Receive SMS online on sms24.meTubeReader video aggregator is a website that collects and organizes online videos from the YouTube source.
