Just a quick video showing the Zmey the Unbidden boss fight in the Mortal Shell 2 on PC, 4k Ultra Best Graphic Settings. Details below, location shown after the fight.A bit of a disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant game, as I didn't really enjoy this fight. It was a massive slog and had a lot of inconsistencies throughout the fight with hitboxes and animations. The flame attack was also particularly annoying as even if you dodge it you still caught on fire, similarly with all of phase 2 and trying to harden or parry the attacks - you still take burn damage. So you have to be either under the boss or really far away, which you cannot control with how often the boss leaps around.
The second phase also had the animations missing a lot of the time for the flame circles attack which made it awkward to handle, and often your screen is completely blocked by being inside the boss or pressed against the wall. I also had a bug where if I was using the Arbiter's Prize Tarstone the boss would just randomly get deleted at a little below half health, so I had to take it off so the fight would actually reach the end. It made it slower than it needed to be without a tarstone there, but it still takes a long time due to the massive health pool.
So not the most enjoyable ending sadly, but overall the rest of the game was great. I'll have the all bosses compilation done tomorrow, and I also want to have a separate video with all of the shell memories and dialogue. I might also have a quick video showing the entire map so people can use it for reference as to where all of the dungeons and beacons can be found. Not sure how useful that will be so will see.
