HERNE: Fußball ohne Trikots? Nackte Fußballgruppe protestiert gegen WM und zunehmenden Kommerz!Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2026 sorgt nicht bei allen für Vorfreude. Kritik gibt es daran, dass das Turnier zu viel Kommerz, zu viel Pomp und insgesamt zu aufgeblasen sei. Bereits 2015 formierte sich deshalb in Herne eine sogenannte „nackte Fußball-Nationalmannschaft“ als Protestform. Ein- bis zweimal jährlich treten dort Frauen und Männer zu Spielen an. Die Gruppe wurde vom Regisseur Gerrit Starczewski gegründet und umfasst inzwischen rund 25 Männer und fünf Frauen. Ihr Ziel: den Fußball „zurück zu seinen Wurzeln“ bringen – ohne Trikots, aber mit Botschaft. „Wir zeigen dem Kommerz im Fußball die Rote Karte. Fußball muss natürlich bleiben. Die Nacktheit ist ein Symbol für Natürlichkeit“, heißt es aus der Gruppe. Auch Kritik an der WM in Nordamerika wird deutlich geäußert. Gleichzeitig versteht sich das Projekt auch als Statement gegen Bodyshaming: Jeder Mensch sei so, wie er ist – unabhängig von Körperform oder Aussehen.
