Ziel ist eine jüdische Chanukka-Feier. Sekunden später gerät der Schütze selbst unter Beschuss, wird mehrfach getroffen und bricht regungslos zusammen.
Hunderte Besucher, darunter viele Kinder, geraten in den Kugelhagel. Die Polizei stuft die Tat als antisemitisch motivierten Terrorangriff ein. Mehrere Menschen sterben, Dutzende werden verletzt. Ermittler gehen von zwei Tätern aus, einem 50-jährigen Mann und seinem 24-jährigen Sohn. Die Ermittlungen laufen auf Hochtouren.
