JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Polemik tunjangan DPR masih ramai diperbincangkan publik. Anggota Komisi II DPR Fraksi Golkar, Ahmad Irawan mengatakan ada dana yang dikeluarkan ketika berkunjung ke konstituennya untuk menyerap aspirasi. Ia menyebut itu seperti uang bensin atau sebagai apresiasi atas waktu yang telah diberikan.Ketua BEM UNPAD tahun 2022 yang juga kreator konten #LawanButaPolitik, Virdian Aurellio mengatakan bukan anti terhadap anggota DPR bergaji besar. Menurutnya, jabatan publik harusnya digaji besar asal performanya baik dan bisa diawasi transparan.
Pejabat publik itu memang selayaknya digaji besar, karena apa yang mereka lakukan adalah untuk kepentingan publik. Virdian berharap para anggota legislatif yang muda bisa menjadi inisiator dan role model, sehingga aspirasi dan tuntutan publik terserap.
