India-Pakistan tensions have taken a fresh turn as Indian authorities removed unauthorised structures, barricades, traffic bollards and queue-management installations outside the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. Officials said the structures were located on a lane beyond the mission's approved boundary, and agencies used a JCB machine to remove them.
The development comes just days after Pakistani authorities reportedly removed security barricades and parking poles outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, making the latest Delhi action appear to be a reciprocal or tit-for-tat move.
Visuals from the site showed demolished fencing, metal railings, roofing sheets, bricks and concrete debris near the Pakistan High Commission's visa section, while the main diplomatic entrance remained intact.
