Ex-Biathletin Dahlmeier nach Bergunfall vermisst – Rettungsmission geplant
Der Rettungseinsatz für die im Karakorum-Gebirge in Pakistan verunglückte Biathlon-Olympiasiegerin Laura Dahlmeier ist am Mittwochvormittag wieder aufgenommen worden. Das teilte ein Behördensprecher der Deutschen Presse-Agentur mit. Bisher könne die Mission jedoch nur am Boden stattfinden. Helikopter seien aufgrund der schlechten Wetterbedingungen noch nicht gestartet. Vier erfahrene Kletterer und zwei Bergträger seien in zwei Teams auf dem Berg unterwegs, um die 31-Jährige zu bergen.Der Rettungseinsatz wurde laut einem Behördensprecher am Dienstagabend Ortszeit nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit vorübergehend eingestellt und sollte eigentlich bereits am kommenden Morgen Ortszeit weitergehen. Starke Winde und schlechte Sichtverhältnisse verzögerten die Mission jedoch.
Dahlmeier war nach Angaben ihres Managements mit ihrer Seilpartnerin an dem 6.069 Meter hohen Laila Peak unterwegs, als sie am Montag gegen Mittag (Ortszeit) auf rund 5.700 Metern von einem Steinschlag erfasst wurde.
