Следы легенд об этой династии встречаются всюду – на просторах Сети, на страницах романов и научных изданий, в повседневных разговорах и шутках. Далёкие королевы и императоры просочились и в интернет-культуру, став персонажами мемов. Одним словом, мифы о династии Габсбургов разнообразны, и зачастую вымысел в них перемешан с правдой в очень странной пропорции. Насколько реальными были кровосмешение и религиозный фанатизм, достоверны ли образы отдельных монархов, а главное, какова неистребимая суть мифов – обо всём этом мы поговорим в преддверии курса об истории династии и истории Европы.
