A notorious family in the 19th century Kansas who operated a roadside cabin along the Osage Trail, offering shelter to weary travelers only to brutally murder and rob them. When a wave of disappearances culminates in the loss of prominent figures, a search party investigates the property and uncovers a gruesome graveyard of eleven victims buried beneath the family's apple orchard. The Benders escape completely undetected before they can be caught, leaving behind one of America's most chilling and enduring unsolved mysteries.
