Debates Commission CANCELS post-debate scrums (w/ Ezra Levant)
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by Rebel News founder and independent journalist Ezra Levant to talk about the state of media and independent media in Canada.They start by discussing breaking news that former Calgary mayor Jyoti Gondek's home was raided by police who had a warrant to investigate corruption allegations. Ezra explains the high legal standard that must have been met for a judge to issue a warrant in this situation, and Candice and Ezra discuss the rise of corruption in Canadian society.
Next, they discuss Leaders’ Debates Commissioner Michel Cormier’s appearance in a procedure and house affairs committee meeting in Parliament. Cormier recommends that Canada cancel the media scrums after the official election debate. This comes after last year's election debacle where independent media dominated the question line and asked questions the legacy media did not approve of.
