Penyidik Polda Metro Jaya menyita ijazah Presiden ke-7 RI, Joko Widodo, dalam rangkaian penyelidikan kasus dugaan ijazah palsu. Langkah ini dinilai sebagai bentuk transparansi aparat dalam menangani laporan dari kelompok masyarakat yang menuntut klarifikasi atas keabsahan dokumen pendidikan kepala negara.Namun situasi makin panas ketika muncul indikasi bahwa pihak pelapor justru akan ditetapkan sebagai tersangka. Total ada 12 terlapor yang disebut-sebut berada di ujung ancaman jerat pidana, termasuk sejumlah aktivis, pakar, dan kuasa hukum.
