የኢትዮጵያ የአዕምሮ ጤና ባለሞያዎች ማህበር ዋና ፕሬዝዳንትና በአማኑኤል የአዕምሮ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል የምርምር እና ስልጠና ክፍል ዳይሬክተር የሆኑት አቶ ዘገየ ዮሐንስ የአዕምሮ ታማሚዎች ቁጥር ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ እየጨመረ መምጣቱን ነግረውናል፡፡
የአእምሮ ህመም መንስኤው ብዙ ቢሆንም የማህበራዊ ህይወት መመሰቃቀል፣ የኑሮ ውድነት፣ ጦርነት፣ ተፈጥሮአዊም ሆነ ሰው ሰራሽ ድንገተኛ አደጋዎችና ድባቴ ውስጥ የሚከሰቱ የአኗኗር ሁኔታዎች ዋና ዋናዎቹ መሆናቸውን ባለሞያው አንስተዋል፡፡
ባለሞያው የአዕምሮ ህመም ሲባል ከፍተኛ ደረጃ ላይ ደርሶ ራሳቸውን የሳቱትን ብቻ የሚመስላቸው ሰዎች ብዙ ናቸው ያሉ ሲሆን ሰዎች ስራቸውን እየሰሩ፣ በትክክል እያሰቡና ከሰው ጋር እየተግባቡም ከአእምሮ ህመም ጋር ሊኖሩ ይችላሉ ብለዋል፡፡
ይህም ቀላሉ የአእምሮ ህመም ሲሆን ወደ ከፍተኛው ደረጃ ከመድረሱ በፊት ግን ሰዎች የአእምሮ ጤና ግንዛቤ ኖሯቸው በጊዜ እንዲታከሙ አቶ ዘገየ መክረዋል፡፡
ምክንያቱ የማይታወቅ የተደጋገመ ድባቴ፣ ከሌላው ጊዜ በተለየ በቀላሉ ስሜታዊ መሆን፣ ከሰዎች ጋር መግባባት መቸገር፣ ስራን ተረጋግቶ መስራት አለመቻልና ሌሎችም መሰል ምልክቶች ለረጅም ጊዜ ከታዩ የህመሙ ማሳያዎች ሊሆኑ እንደሚችሉ ባለሙያው አስረድተዋል፡፡
መንግስትም ትኩረት ሰጥቶ በየጤና ጣቢያዎቹ የአእምሮ ጤና አገልግሎት እንዲያስፋፋ፣ ስለ የአእምሮ ጤና ለሰዎች በቂ ግንዛቤ እንዲሰጥና በዘርፉ ላይ የሚሰሩ ባለሙያዎችን በማፍራት ላይ እንዲሰራ አቶ ዘገየ ዮሐንስ መክረዋል፡፡
