Demografie-Drama in Japan: Babyzahl sinkt unter 700.000 – Regierung schlägt AlarmIn Japan sind letztes Jahr weniger Babys geboren worden als je zuvor. Die Zahl sank zum ersten Mal unter 700.000 und das seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen vor weit über hundert Jahren. Die Regierung spricht von einer „stillen Notlage“ und will es leichter machen, Beruf und Kinder zu vereinbaren. Nach Schätzungen wird Japans Einwohnerzahl in Zukunft stark sinken. Ein großer Teil der Bevölkerung wird dann über 65 Jahre alt sein.
