Kapal tersebut dilaporkan menyerang konvoi lintas negara yang sedang berada di Laut Mediterania.
Para peserta konvoi pun langsung menerapkan protokol keamanan sebagai persiapan intersepsi.
Juru Bicara Armada Italia, Maria Elena juga menegaskan bahwa para aktivis bersiap untuk serangan lain dalam beberapa jam ke depan.
Konvoi kemanusiaan tersebut terdiri dari lebih dari 40 kapal sipil.
Mereka diawaki oleh lebih dari 500 orang termasuk anggota parlemen, pengacara, dan aktivis iklim Swedia Greta Thunberg.
Konvoi ini bertujuan untuk mematahkan blokade Israel terhadap Gaza.
Pada Selasa (30/9/2025) , armada Sumud Flotilla berada kurang dari 160 mil laut dari Gaza dan sudah melalui zona beresiko tinggi.
Drone pengintai tak dikenal juga terbang di ketinggian sedang di atas area pelayaran Sumud Flotilla di perairan Mediterania.
Sementara itu, Italia yang sempat mengirimkan kapal perang menyatakan menghentikan pelacakan terhadap konvoi Flotilla.
Setelah konvoi mencapai 150 mil di garis pantai Gaza, kapal perang Fregat Italia yang mengawal akan berhenti.
Hal ini berdasarkan keterangan resmi dari Kementerian Pertahanan Italia.
Mereka melakukan hal ini untuk menghindari konfrontasi dengan pasukan Israel. (Tribun-Video.com)
