Jaishankar Defends India-Russia Ties, Calls Out Europe's Weapons Sales to Pak | Vantage on Firstpost
India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is visiting the Nordic nation of Finland. He is in the country on invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubbs. During the visit, Jaishankar was invited to speak at a panel where he was asked by a European journalist why India was buying Russian oil and why New Delhi has a 'soft tone' towards Moscow. Jaishankar reminded everyone that while India buys oil from Russia, Europe continues to buy gas from Russia while the US still buys Uranium from Moscow. Jaishankar also spoke about how Indian weapons have never been used to attack Europe, however, European weapons given to Pakistan have been used to attack India.
