"Il tema del caro vita “ci sta particolarmente a cuore, ma rispetto ad alcune dichiarazioni sul frigorifero vuoto penso che sia irresponsabile raccontare l'Italia come se fosse un Paese che ha masse di persone denutrite, sotto nutrite per mancanze di derrate alimentari. L'argomento è troppo serio per essere trattato così ma anche qui i dati aiutano, sono quelli della Fao sulla prevalenza della sicurezza alimentare moderata o grave: nel 2024 era dell'1,3%, quando siamo arrivati al governo era del 2,2%. Non è tutto merito nostro, collega, gli sforzi che il Governo sta facendo piano, piano invertono la tendenza. Dire che il Governo si dovrebbe vergognare per dati tutti migliori di quando eravate al Governo voi... Non so cosa dovrebbe fare chi oggi è all'opposizione, atteso che la situazione era peggiore". Così la premier Giorgia Meloni alla Camera, in sede di replica nella discussione generale sulle sue comunicazioni in vista del Consiglio Ue, si riferisce, senza citarla, a una dichiarazione dei giorni scorsi della segretaria del Pd Elly Schlein.
