Jokowi menghormati keputusan DKPP terhadap Hasyim.
Demikian disampaikan Presiden Jokowi saat berkunjung di RSUD Sinjai, Sulsel pada Kamis (4/7).
Jokowi menuturkan bahwa pemecatan Hasyim tidak akan mengganggu proses Pilkada 2024.
“Pemerintah menghormati kewenangan DKPP dalam memutuskan,” kata Jokowi
Pemerintah akan memastikan Pilkada akan berjalan dengan baik.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Jokowi juga memastikan akan meneken Kppres soal pemberhentian Hasyim.
Namun ia mengatakan bahwa keppres masih dalam proses administrasi.
Ia menyebutkan, draf keppres yang akan ia tandatangani itu belum sampai ke meja kerjanya.
Sebelumnya, Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) memutuskan untuk menjatuhkan sanksi pemberhentian tetap terhadap Ketua KPU Hasyim Asy'ari, Rabu (3/7/2024).
Sanksi tersebut diberikan karena Hasyim terbukti melakukan pelanggaran kode etik penyelenggara pemilu karena melakukan tindakan asusila terhadap seorang perempuan anggota Panitia Pemilihan Luar Negeri di Den Haag, Belanda.
Berdasarkan fakta-fakta di persidangan, terungkap bahwa Hasyim merayu dan memaksa korban untuk berhubungan badan di hotel tempatnya menginap di Belanda pada 3 Oktober 2023.
Menanggapi putusan itu, Hasyim Asy'ari mengaku bersyukur karena disanksi pemberhentian oleh DKPP atas pelanggaran etik terkait tindakan asusila.
“Sebagaimana diketahui substansi putusan tersebut teman-teman sudah mengikuti semua.
Pada kesempatan ini saya ingin menyampaikan saya mengucapkan alhamdulillah,” ujar Hasyim di Gedung KPU RI, Jakarta, Rabu.
Hasyim kemudian menyampaikan terima kasih atas putusan sanksi yang dijatuhkan oleh DKPP karena membuatnya terbebas dari beban berat sebagai anggota KPU.
