La filigrana con incrustaciones, o engastada, es una antigua técnica de orfebrería china utilizada para crear joyas y adornos. Los maestros artesanos tejen hilos de oro, diez veces más finos que un cabello humano, en intrincados patrones que representan flores, pájaros, figuras humanas o pagodas. Los orígenes de la filigrana y el engastado se remontan al periodo de las Primaveras y Otoños y los Reinos Combatientes, y alcanzó su apogeo durante las dinastías Ming y Qing. En Beijing se estableció un taller especializado para la corte, el Departamento de Platería, encargado de elaborar coronas de fénix, tocados, objetos rituales y ornamentales para la familia imperial. Muchas de las exquisitas coronas de hilos de oro que hoy se exhiben en los museos son ejemplos representativos de la filigrana y el engastado. #China #CulturaChina #hc
