TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Anak-anak di Gaza Palestina tak hanya kekurangan gizi akibat terbatasnya bantuan makanan.

Mereka juga terkena penyakit kulit gara-gara air tercemar limbah.

Seorang bocah laki-laki berusia lima tahun tak bisa tidur di tenda pengungsian sepanjang malam.

Ia terus menggaruk sekujur tubuhnya karena gatal yang begitu menyiksa.

"Anak saya tidak bisa tidur sepanjang malam karena ia tidak bisa berhenti menggaruk tubuhnya," kata seorang ibu kepada Arab News, Rabu (3/7/2024).

Ibu dari bocah tersebut, Elwan mengatakan bahwa anaknya terpaksa tidur di atas tanah dan pasir.

Sementara air bersih untuk mandi atau mencuci tak lagi tersedia.

Elwan menyebut, Laut Mediterania yang biasanya digunakan anak-anak mandi kini tercemar limbah.

"Laut itu penuh limbah. Mereka bahkan membuang sampah dan pembalut bayi ke laut," imbuhnya.

Kondisi tersebut semakin memperparah penyebaran penyakit kulit di Jalur Gaza, ditambah lagi cuaca panas.

Saat ini, jumlah warga Palestina yang terjangkit penyakit kulit mencapai 150 ribu orang.

Kasus paling banyak adalah kudis dan kutu, cacar air, ruam, serta impetigo.
