Suvarnamala Stutih (सुवर्णमालास्तुतिः) is a profound Sanskrit hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva — Samba Sadashiva, Shambhu and Shankara. Its recurring prayer,

“साम्ब सदाशिव शम्भो शङ्कर शरणं मे तव चरणयुगम्”

Verse 1

O all-pervading Lord, somehow I seek to purify my tongue by uttering even a little of Your divine qualities. O Samba Sadashiva, Shambhu and Shankara, Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 2

O Lord who is skilled in destroying the pride of Indra, who delights in Tandu and who is the mighty Lord associated with Chandi—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 3

O Lord clad in elephant hide, whose blazing eye destroyed the body of Kama, the enemy of Shambara—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 4

O Isha, Girisha, Lord of men, Supreme Lord, Mahesha, adorned with serpents—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 5

O Lord whose left side is embraced by Uma, whose form is divinely auspicious—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 6

Accept me, though I am ignorant and without refuge. O Lord, drive my sins and misfortunes far away. Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 7

O Swan dwelling in the minds of the greatest sages, O cause of the creation, preservation and dissolution of all moving and unmoving existence—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 8

O Lord crowned with the Moon, riding the mighty bull and adorned with Rudraksha beads—Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 9

I offer at Your feet the pair of sounds represented by the letter Ḷ, like tender flowers without stalks. O Lord, Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 10

The Shruti declares, “Existence is One.” We worship You alone as that Supreme Reality, O compassionate Shiva. Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 11

You bestow spiritual unity upon Your own devotees; the universe itself bears witness to this. Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 12

Om points toward Your supreme nature, while Maya serves as the power through which that reality becomes manifest to us. O gracious Lord, Your two feet are my refuge.

Verse 13

Your state of Digambara reveals complete detachment from worldly objects. O Lord, Your two feet are my refuge.
