«Знущань було багато»: колишній військовополонений про пережите у російськ?
Майже три роки провів у неволі, пережив безліч тортур. Рядовий Національної гвардії України Максим Юрченко потрапив у полон на початку вторгнення. Він ніс службу на самісінькому кордоні з РФ і вже в перші дні війни фактично опинився в тилу атакуючих російських сил. Майже місяць він із підрозділом намагався пробитися до українських військ, але наприкінці березня 2022 року потрапив у полон. За три роки військовий побував у п’яти в’язницях, найстрашніша з яких у Сибіру. Пережив допити, катування та знущання. Його били шокером, топили, змушували камінням стирати татуювання на руці – тризуб з вишиванкою. Але він вірив, що повернеться додому, у Харків. Його обміняли цьогоріч 5 лютого.
