Hal itu disampaikan setelah dirinya disanksi Pemberhentian Tidak Dengan Hormat (PTDH) dalam sidang Komisi Kode Etik Polri, Rabu (3/9/2025) malam.
"Kesempatan ini pula saya mohon maaf ke pimpinan Polri atau rekan-rekan Polri yang sedang bertugas menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban umum," ujar Cosmas, dikutip dari YouTube TV Radio Polri.
Cosmas mengaku tidak ada maksud untuk membuat Polri susah.
Ia hanya menjalankan tugas menjaga ketertiban umum yakni mengamankan demo.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Cosmas juga menyampaikan bela sungkawa kepada keluarga Affan Kurniawan, pengemudi ojek online (ojol) yang meninggal akibat dilindas kendaraan taktis.
Ia mengaku peristiwa itu di luar dugaannya.
"Saya juga menyampaikan duka cita yang mendalam kepada korban Affan Kurniawan serta keluarga besar, sungguh-sungguh di luar dugaan," sambung dia.
