En un instituto de Los Ángeles controlado por "Los Cobras", una violenta pandilla que trafica con drogas y extorsiona a alumnos y profesores, Jeff Hanna (Adam Baldwin, el mítico Animal Mother de La chaqueta metálica) intenta mantenerse al margen. Jeff fue miembro de la banda en el pasado, pero ahora quiere reformarse y vivir en paz. Sin embargo, cuando los Cobras agreden brutalmente a su nueva novia y amenazan con destruir el centro, Jeff se verá obligado a tomar una decisión drástica: liderar a los estudiantes pacíficos y citar al líder de la banda a las 3:15 de la tarde, justo a la hora de la salida, para resolverlo todo a golpes.
