«È un Primo Maggio importantissimo qui a Marghera, con i sindacati uniti. Una piazza unitaria importante per difendere la dignità del lavoro. C'è ancora troppo lavoro povero e lavoro precario in una Repubblica che è fondata sul lavoro. E, appunto, fondata sul lavoro non vuol dire fondata sulla cassa integrazione, fondata sul lavoro povero e precario che colpisce soprattutto i giovani di questo Paese». Così la segretaria del Pd Elly Schlein, dalla piazza del Primo maggio a Marghera. «Gli aumenti dell'occupazione stanno riguardando quasi esclusivamente i lavoratori over 50. Dobbiamo accendere un faro di attenzione sulle condizioni materiali dei lavoratori più giovani, perché sotto i 24 anni più della metà dei lavoratori ha dei contratti precari. E se hai un contratto precario non riesci a uscire di casa, non riesci a pagare un affitto, non riesci a farti una famiglia se te la vuoi fare. Quindi serve un'azione forte di contrasto alla precarietà, che in altri paesi come la Spagna è stata concertata con le imprese e i sindacati e sta portando dei risultati di crescita molto significativi», aggiunge.
