L’affluenza, intorno al 58,9%, ha dimostrato grande partecipazione, ma anche come il voto sia stato politicizzato più come giudizio sulla Premier Giorgia Meloni che sui contenuti della riforma. La campagna della #Premier ha mostrato un grave errore di comunicazione: Meloni non ha saputo politicizzare subito il referendum, lasciando che l’opposizione e i media promuovessero la campagna per il No, trasformando il voto in un giudizio sul governo invece che su una riforma costituzionale. L’intervento tardivo e l’uscita pubblica da parte di un influencer come #Fedez ha contribuito a legittimare piattaforme estere e figure non istituzionali, a discapito dei media tradizionali italiani, professionali e regolamentati.
Il risultato evidenzia quanto la comunicazione politica in Italia resti fragile di fronte ai social e agli influencer, e come l’approccio scelto dal governo possa influire direttamente sulla percezione dell’opinione pubblica e sui risultati elettorali.
