From the invention of Technicolor, the telephone, and modern anesthesia to the origins of the internet, spreadsheets, and countless scientific breakthroughs, Boston and Cambridge have shaped the modern world in ways few people realize. In this talk, innovation historian Brian Bergstein shares the vision behind the Innovation Trail—a living guide to the people, places, and discoveries that transformed history. He argues that Massachusetts should embrace its identity as America's science capital and become the world's premier destination for innovation tourism, inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs, scientists, and inventors.
