PALERMO (ITALPRESS) - "Il mio governo ha sempre con i fatti cercato di dare prova di attenzione al sociale, ai deboli, agli ultimi. La mia presenza di oggi non vuole essere simbolica, abbiamo approvato la legge sull'assegno di povertà che è stato erogato a migliaia di famiglie per un importo di 4.000 euro. Devo dire che è un primo passo". Lo ha dichiarato il presidente della Regione Siciliana Renato Schifani a margine del pranzo sociale con gli anziani della Comunità di Sant'Egidio, a Catania. "La legge sugli anziani - ha proseguito - è un ulteriore passo che stiamo verificando nei costi, nell'attuazione, ma c'è il nostro impegno naturalmente per portarla avanti.
