IyanuOluwa Adebayo reflects on how parents, though our first role models, aren't always perfect. In a world filled with screens and mixed messages, she highlights the importance of recognising and breaking harmful patterns at home. Her talk encourages us to know more about how we’re shaped by our families and say no more to repeating behaviours that don’t serve us. IyanuOluwa Mercy Adebayo is a 16-year-old student currently in the 11th grade in Avicenna International School. She has a love for academics especially Mathematics which she has nurtured since childhood. During her free time, she loves baking for her parents and friends and also creating custom bead jewellery. She is usually a reserved person, but has become more social and outgoing after becoming a boarding student. She wants to be an entrepreneur in the future and help innovate the secondary sector in her country to reduce their dependency on imports. She will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna International School. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
