Displaced Lebanese return to devastated south as fragile 10-day truce takes hold
With the ceasefire in effect in Lebanon, thousands of people displaced by Israel's strikes and forced evacuation orders are going back to their homes.But for many, the return has brought heartbreak rather than relief.
They have found devastation - destroyed homes, buildings and facilities.
The US-brokered truce, which came into effect on Friday, is set to last 10 days and is meant to open the door to more talks.
Israel and Hezbollah have warned residents against going back during the pause in fighting.
On the ground, the truce remains fragile as Israeli forces are still present in parts of the south.
