President Donald Trump indicated Thursday that he should be involved in selecting Iran's next supreme leader, according to reports. This comes as the U.S. and Israel continue to carry out strikes in the region. In an exclusive interview with Reuters, Trump said the new leader should be "somebody that's going to be great for the people, great for the country."The president also told Axios that he ruled out Mojtaba Khamenei, a front-runner to replace his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed at the start of "Operation Epic Fury."
