Tak hanya pada Netanyahu, Gallant menyebut investigasi ini juga perlu dilakukan kepadanya.
Hal ini buntut laporan terbaru militer Israel yang mengakui gagal menghadapi serangan Hamas pada 7 Oktober 2023.
Menurut Gallant, penyelidikan tersebut untuk mengklarifikasi fakta laporan militer Israel.
Seruan ini disampaikan oleh Gallant saat upacara wisuda perwira militer pada Kamis (11/7/2024).
Adapun pihak yang melakukan penyelidikan terhadapnya dan Netanyahu adalah komisi resmi dari pemerintah Israel.
Sebagaimana diketahui, militer Israel memberikan pengakuan bahwa mereka tak bisa melindungi warga sipil di Kibbutz Be'eri.
Militer Israel mengatakan bahwa mereka tak siap menghadapi skenario penyusupan besar-besaran Hamas ke Israel.
Alhasil mereka tak bisa memberikan peringatan yang tepat pada pasukan dan juga penduduk.
Sehingga serangan pun tidak terkoodinasi.
