Formado a partir do compromisso de registrar a vida da população negra por mãos também negras, o acervo do Zumví Arquivo Afro Fotográfico é fundamental para a história da fotografia e do movimento negro no Brasil. A exposição reúne cerca de 400 fotografias que percorrem movimentos políticos, blocos afro, religiosidades e mercados populares, além de práticas culturais e cenas do cotidiano que revelam a amplitude e a densidade desse conjunto.
