DIRECTOR'S NOTE
At the heart of CHUVADU is a thought about freedom.
When we begin making decisions for someone else, believing we know what is best for them, we can slowly take away their independence. But dependence works both ways. When we begin relying on someone, even for the smallest things, their presence gradually becomes part of how we live. What begins as comfort can become a habit, and what becomes a habit can eventually feel like a necessity. When that presence is suddenly gone, even solitude can become difficult. I believe solitude is not loneliness. It is the ability to exist independently, make our own decisions, and allow others the same freedom. CHUVADU comes from that space, where love, control, dependence, comfort and freedom begin to overlap. Sometimes, letting someone live their own life is not abandonment. It is respect. And sometimes, stepping away from someone else's life is how you finally begin to live your own.
