Menteri Dalam Negeri Tito Karnavian membolehkan Aparatur Sipil Negara menghadiri kampanye Pilkada 2024 namun sebagai peserta pasif.

Alasannya karena ASN punya hak pilih, sehingga perlu mendengarkan visi misi calon kepala daerah untuk menentukan pilihan.

Sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang Pemilu dan Pilkada, ASN punya hak pilih dalam pemilihan kepala daerah, berbeda dengan prajurit TNI-Polri.

Sebagai bentuk netralitas, Mendagri Tito tetap melarang ASN aktif berkampanye, apalagi menggerakkan dan mengarahkan orang lain kepada salah satu pasangan calon Kepala Daerah.
