«Con Giovanni era facile commuoversi». Sono le prime parole del padre di Giovanni Tamburi all'uscita dalla Cattedrale di Bologna, dove da pochi minuti si è concluso il funerale del ragazzo morto nella strage di Crans-Montana, in Svizzera, con la voce rotta dall'emozione. Giustizia? «Oggi no- risponde- anche se ce ne sarebbe bisogno». Anche la madre del ragazzo, Carla Masiello, davanti al carro funebre si lascia andare a un pensiero per il figlio scomparso. «Giovanni è in cielo. Il messaggio che vorrei mandare è di amore, amore, amore. Buttare via l'odio, non lasciarsi mai niente di non detto. Io e Giovanni ci dicevamo ogni giorno quanto amore provassimo l'uno per l'altro, e Giovanni lo diceva a tutti, sorrideva sempre». Quindi, esorta di fronte ai compagni di scuola, agli amici e ai presenti, «sorridete, siate sempre forti. Io sono forte perché Giovanni è con me. Lui non è morto, è solo da un'altra parte. Rimarrà puro per sempre. Probabilmente il Signore, dato che era un angelo ha voluto evitargli le sofferenze della vita, le malattie, la vecchiaia. Ma Giovanni non mi ha abbandonato, non ha abbandonato nessuno. Giovanni è qui. E se c'è un insegnamento che deve darci questa tragedia è la speranza. La vita non finisce qui.
