PEKANBARU, KOMPAS.TV - Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika, BMKG Pekanbaru mendeteksi 11 titik panas di wilayah Provinsi Riau yang tersebar di lima kabupaten.
11 titik panas yang terdeteksi oleh satelit Aqua dan SNPP tersebar di lima kabupaten dan kota di wilayah Provinsi Riau, yaitu di Dumai, Rokan Hulu, Rokan Hilir, Kepulauan Meranti dan Indragiri Hilir.
Titik panas yang pada level sedang atau pada level 30 hingga 79 persen terdeteksi di dua kabupaten.
Meski terjadi kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Riau, BMKG Pekanbaru belum mendeteksi adanya dampak kabut asap di wilayah Kota Pekanbaru. Jarak pandang di wilayah Kota Pekanbaru tergolong masih baik.
Tim satgas terus berupaya melakukan pemadaman kebakaran hutan dan lahan gambut di Desa Karya Indah, Kampar, Riau.
Ketebalan gambut hingga 2 meter dan kondisi cuaca panas menyulitkan petugas dalam memadamkan api.
Satu unit helikopter water bombing turut dikerahkan untuk melakukan penyekatan titik api agar kebakaran tak makin meluas.
