Palestinian leader calls for action on Gaza and two-state solution at UNGA
In a pre-recorded address to the United Nations General Assembly, the Palestinian leadership condemns the decision to deny its delegation entry visas to attend the meetings in New York for a second consecutive year.The Palestinian speaker rejects what he describes as punitive measures and calls on the US administration to lift the restrictions, return to dialogue and support the implementation of a two-state solution based on international legitimacy.
The address focuses heavily on the situation in Gaza, where the speaker accuses Israeli forces of killing, destruction, starvation and displacement, and describes the humanitarian crisis as catastrophic.
