No arrests made after LAUSD headquarters, Superintendent's home raided
We are getting the latest information this afternoon after federal authorities descended upon multiple Los Angeles locations Wednesday morning. The agents executed search warrants at both the primary administrative offices of the nation's second-largest school district and the private residence of its top official, Alberto Carvalho. Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Carvalho has served as the leader of LAUSD since February 2022 and was recently re-appointed to the position in September 2025. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is speaking with Nic Garcia from our partners at FOX 11 Los Angeles, who is on the ground with the latest information from California.Early in the day SkyFOX was over Carvalho's home, where multiple FBI agents were seen going in and out of the residence carrying boxes of unspecified items. At one point, it appeared a neighbor with luggage in tow was escorted down the sidewalk by authorities. This all comes after last week where the Trump administration moved to join a lawsuit alleging that the LAUSD discriminates against white students under its decades-old desegregation policy. "We have been informed of law enforcement activity at Los Angeles Unified School District headquarters and at the home of the Superintendent. The District is cooperating with the investigation and we do not have further information at this time," the LAUSD said in a statement.
