En Brasil, miles de personas salieron este jueves a las calles después de que los legisladores avanzaran esta semana en el proceso de aprobación de un proyecto de ley que equipara los abortos a partir de la semana 22 con el homicidio, y prevé penas de hasta 20 años de prisión en tales casos.Estas fueron las palabras expresadas por la concejal de Río de Janeiro, Mônica Benício:“No aceptaremos un revés. No aceptaremos un Gobierno conservador que negocie políticas espurias sobre nuestras vidas. Seguiremos luchando hasta que el aborto legal sea un derecho garantizado en Brasil”.
