JOMBANG, KOMPAS.TV - Seorang pria di Jombang, Jawa Timur, tewas diracun istrinya sendiri. Tak sampai di situ, jenazah korban bahkan disimpan di dalam kamar selama 40 hari hingga akhirnya sang istri menyerahkan diri ke polisi.Desa Johowinong, Kecamatan Mojoagung, Kabupaten Jombang, Jawa Timur yang tenang geger dengan terkuaknya pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh seorang istri terhadap suaminya sendiri.
Rumah yang 10 tahun ini dikontrak pasangan suami istri ini langsung ramai dikerubungi warga yang kaget dengan aksi pembunuhan oleh seorang ibu rumah tangga.
Fauziah, sang istri, mengaku telah meracuni dan membunuh suaminya dengan menaruh racun dalam minuman korban. Usai korban lemas, sang istri lalu menganiaya suaminya untuk memastikan korban meninggal dunia.
40 hari setelah kejadian, sang istri menyerahkan diri ke polisi.
Menurut polisi, pelaku dan korban menikah sejak 2014. Belakangan korban dan pelaku sering cekcok. Pelaku mengaku sering mengalami kekerasan dalam rumah tangga.
Untuk mempertanggungjawabkan perbuatannya, Fauziah harus mendekam di sel tahanan Polres Jombang dan terancam hukuman mati.
