«La tragedia di Crans-Montana è una ferita aperta per l'intera comunità nazionale. Per questo, mi sono immediatamente recato sul posto la mattina del 2 gennaio per essere vicino alle famiglie e portare la vicinanza del Governo e di tutte le Istituzioni». Lo ha dichiarato il ministro degli Esteri, Antonio Tajani, in un'informativa al Senato sui fatti di Crans-Montana.
«Permettetemi di dire, cari senatori, che poche volte, in tutta la mia vita e nella mia lunga attività pubblica, ho percepito e condiviso un dolore così straziante, un'angoscia così profonda», ha proseguito Tajani, secondo cui «il sentimento che ho provato quando sono entrato a Le Constellation, vedendo decine di scarpe, giacche ed oggetti personali per terra, mentre le tv mostravano le immagini della tragedia, è stato veramente un colpo al cuore che ha lasciato un segno perché ognuno di noi poteva avere un figlio o un nipote là».
«Sono cose che non devono accadere, che non possono accadere. Più che come ministro della Repubblica o come rappresentante del nostro Paese all'estero, mi sono sentito padre, nonno e ho versato in silenzio qualche lacrima perché era una scena tremenda quella che ho visto» ha aggiunto il titolare della Farnesina.
